may 11th - sightseeing

We spent the day exploring Chicago with the kids, which started with a super relaxing stop at an awesome cafe for some really good coffee.  If the coffee mugs were any bigger, we may have drowned one of the kids in them. Thankfully, it was just their excitement to get out and walk over to Millenium Park and have some fun at the Cloud Gate sculpture. After the park, we went for a long stroll up to Navy Pier to visit the Children’s Museum with Gramps (on perv patrol) and Grandmum. The kids had a great time. Alex did lots of climbing and bowling, Gemma loved building, and Lucy loved freedom to walk. We built presents for Mommy in the tinker lab, got cheeseborgers at Billy Goat Tavern, and home in time for family naps.

Mommy and Daddy went out tonight for cousin Kyle’s wedding in a really cool venue. The kids got to hang out with Aunt Vicky and cousin Katy for pizza, games, and lots of sugar. They had so much fun and were really well-behaved. They still talk about the games that they played with “vicky and katy.”  Gemma is still a little upset that Frank didn’t come too. Daddy came home early so they could go home and Mommy stayed out until 4:30am. Poor. Decision. Making.
