may 10th - chi-town

We were up early and attacking the day to get to the airport for our flight to Chicago. The kids were super excited to visit a new city and Alex was especially excited to go see a new (really old) baseball stadium. Our travels went smoothly, Daddy got Lucy to sleep on the plane, we checked into our Airbnb, and made it to wrigley field just in time for the game. Gramps and Grandmum were already in their seats, so they got a head start on freezing their asses off. Once Gemma was officially an ice cube, we took a walk to get the kids their “first timer” certificates and found warmth outside on the Gallagher Way green. Way better watching the game without shivering and the kids could roll around on the turf. Took the train back to our place and ordered some Chicago style deep dish for dinner. Gemma is undecided whether she likes it:)
