may 4th - philly weekend

It is Broad Street weekend and the weather today was perfect to head down to Philly and spend the day outside. Uncle Frank and Aunt Amy followed us down so we could check into our hotel and hit the town. Daddy upgraded our room so we ended up staying in the “governor’s suite.”  Alex and Gemma thought they were in heaven with 360° views of the city and more space than our first two houses...the room had a doorbell. They made themselves right at home and tested all the furniture.

We had lunch and jumpstarted our cinco de mayo margarita intake at Lolita. Lucy knocked out an order of guacamole and Gemma wanted a Jimmy Butler jersey so she could wear it with pride around the city. Spent the rest of the afternoon at the South Street spring festival listening to music, walking the neighborhood, and Alex got to participate in the kids magic show. He spun a ball on his finger so well that we all still think he knew the guy and was planted in the audience. Had drinks with Chip and Mickey and never made it to our dinner reservation...just ordered room service and ate on our dining room table that was about as big as the one in our house.
