june 28th - proud

The whole family picked up Alex from camp today and we went to the Princeton library to sign up the kids for a summer reading program. If they read twenty minutes every day for twenty days, they get to come back and collect a prize. Daddy was so proud of both of them. Alex signed himself up and told the librarian his name and spelled it for her.

Librarian: “Burger, is that b-e-r?”
Alex: “no b-u-r”

If I had a dollar for every time in my life I have had to say that. For some reason, it was really cool to see him have the confidence to correct a strange woman in a cat sweater.  Then, Gemma got to sign up and spelled her name for her and wrote her name down on the sheet. They were like little people. Tacoria on the way home for some mexican dinner. Delightful.
