Today was parent/teacher conferences so Mommy and Daddy had a packed agenda of back-to-back meetings. First, we heard all about Alex and what a kind, helpful, great student he is while in Ms. Hale’s class. We got to read his most recent journal exercise, which was a complete retelling of his time with Mommy at the Globetrotters game. Apparently, he enjoyed it since he filled a whole page.
Next, we went to Gemma’s class, but we had to go and pick her up from after-school first to bring her with us. We went in first to hear about how well she is doing in class. She is a ‘very good friend’ who is super helpful for the teachers. Always willing to help others and has a great imagination. After we finished with her teachers, they brought Gemma in and she had an entire conversation with her teacher in Spanish...right in front of us. It was amazing. We were so proud and Daddy took her directly out for ice cream after we left.
