The cousins got to wake up and play a little this morning before Ben and Will had to shove off for school. We went into town and had an awesome breakfast at Dante’s, including some breakfast vodka drinks...ah vacation. Alex loved the beignets with nutella and the biscuits were glorious. We grilled some steaks for the adults tonight and the kids made their own gingerbread houses. Somehow the house making became a competition between the adults...Uncle Mike refused to stop until all candy and icing were expired. We should have gone christmas teepees all around because they were simplistic and structurally sound. Aunt Amy’s house was quickly condemned and its tenants are now living on the street. Gemma got a great night sleep in her new nighttime mask that she HAD to have today at Target. “The boys are so loud and I won’t sleep unless I have this.”
