Somehow we got all of our stuff for our week away in North Carolina into our car and we are all ready to shove off. Early bedtimes for our 2:30am wake up call and the kids were pumped....until the car sickness started to settle in. Lucy ralphed up her belly full of shrimp shumai all over herself right around the Delware border, and Alex waited until Maryland before he had to pull over and barf. We still made it to our favorite breakfast spot in Virginia Beach by 8am before the last stretch into OBX. Rolled into Duck just before lunchtime and had a few cocktails, hit the beach, hit the pool, and hit the sack. Tomorrow the real fun begins!!
