june 18th - our graduate

It was almost three years ago that we sent these two little ones off to Bright Horizons for the next chapter in their little lives. We were living out of a bag in Beeps’ office, but they were all smiles. Alex has since become a 25-year old who is embarrassed to hug us at dropoff, but today we were proud to see how far GemGem has come and excited for her to start 2019-2020 at CP. Partly because it is one more daycare bill we don’t have to pay, but mostly because she is soooo ready to kick ass.

Gem has been a koala, a dragonfly, and a butterfly. She has gone from no interest in academics to writing words all day. She has mastered the art of manipulating her teachers into her own custom lunch menu, no naps, and candy while her classmates sleep. She has a class full of boys wrapped around her finger who all think she will marry them. She has a smile that will melt your heart and an infectious giggle that makes everyone who hears it laugh out loud. She has eyes that will make daddy pretty much do anything she asks. She has ruined COUNTLESS pairs of underwear and shrugged it off every time:)

I wish I had her confidence and can’t wait to see what’s next. As long as I don’t have to wipe it.
