How did our little buddy just finish Kindergarten???? It still feels like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Very vivid memories of him being a little baby with us bringing him along for our three-person adventures...making sure the coast was clear and Catherine wasn’t out front before we hightailed it into the city. Now we have a soon-to-be first grader. Daddy took off from work so we could walk him to his last day and be there to pick him up at early dismissal. We watched as the graduating fifth graders were clapped out of the front door. We were both tearing up and they weren’t our damn kids. Jesus it is coming faster than we know. Could not be prouder of the little boy Alex is becoming and can’t wait for more of him.
After we got home and organized, we picked up Gems and hit the road to Page Lake for a weekend with all of our friends. All the kids went straight for the boats. Dinner and bonfire to kick of the weekend.
