After making us wait an extra week, we finally got to meet the newest addition to the Burger clan. Lucy Katelyn arrived this morning at 8:29am, weighed 8lbs 1.4 oz. and stands an impressive 19.5" tall. Daddy got to announce her arrival to Mommy and we were both shocked that our second boy is actually a girl. She is absolutely perfect. Daddy got to spend some extra loving time with her while Mommy's surgery finished up and already in love. We were all settled in our room by lunchtime so Big Brother Alex and Big Sister Gemma got to come over and be the first people to meet her...they were even the first to find out that she was a girl:) They were both really happy and super excited to meet little Lucy...especially Gemma. On the way back to the elevator, Alex said, "Dad, I thought we were getting a boy?" A bit more reserved excitement, but Alex is very excited to have daddy all to himself.
We had some excited visitors, daddy had a few meals, Lucy took like 8 dumps, mommy kicked butt. She was out of bed by 8pm like a ninja. Alex and Gemma went on a weekend vacation at the Ruddy bed and breakfast and ran up a nice bill on pay-per-view movies.
