june 11th - belated (452)

Gramps and Grandmum came into Princeton to sneak in one last birthday lunch celebration for Mommy at the Peacock Inn. We also had our belated completion of our lakefront today. We were hoping it would be done by Memorial Day, then by Mommy’s birthday…finally!  Pea gravel shortages are no joke.

june 10th - princeton nights (451)

Very pleasant weather tonight for al fresco dining at Kristine’s. Lucy was a fan of the pasta and, more importantly, the ice cream. She shared, but only a little bit. 🤏

june 9th - winding down (450)

The end of school year activities are starting to pick up. Today was a little picnic for Gemma’s class to get together and celebrate the year. Alex and Gem both had some follow up dental work today. Alex was not pleased that he was having his teeth drilled…the laughing gas quickly changed his mind ;)

june 8th - rapunzel (449)

Lucy loving her daily hair-doo that Mommy helps her pull together.

june 7th - recovery continues (448)

Back in Princeton with the kids and Mommy is still catching up on some beauty sleep. Daddy was the smart on and took off from work to get one more day to gain back some brain cells.

june 6th - recovery begins (447)

A couple naps caught on camera today while we start to feel the impact of the last three days. We are now officially too old for this, but did manage to rally for one last dinner and wine filled evening. Everyone filtered out, so we had an opportunity for a little debrief.

june 5th - back at it (446)

Little time for recovery this morning before we got the party started all over again. You only turn 40 once. Boogs and Dreby got on the tube today for a challenge…although they selected the girls tube.  More boating, boozing, and bonfires.  More people too…Boyce, Proc, and Drew & Steph all arrived today to partake in some Caroline celebration.

june 4th - the unbreakable glass (445)

Could not ask for better weather today to hang out by the lake. The boys went for an excursion to procure lots of firewood and spent a good amount of time stacking it under the deck. It was a lazy afternoon of adult beverages and boat rides. Uncle Boogs and Aunt Amy showed up a little earlier than expected, but just in time for dinner in Hawley. We went to Glass Wine Bar, which was a really awesome location overlooking some falls and great food. It was quite a feast and an even more interesting ride home. No one knew which car they were in, who was sitting next to them, or how to roll down a window. Kelly cake, insomnia cookies, and a bonfire to cap it off and ensure the red wine stains everywhere make sense.

june 3rd - lake extravaganza begins (444)

Lucy helped Daddy prepare the coolers for the big adult weekend and got a back massage from Grandmom Burger as a reward. Mommy and Daddy hit the road early to get the house prepped for everyone to arrive. Uncle Todd, Aunt Tracey, Tommy, and Maria were the early arrivals and we had a chance for a little nighttime cruise around the lake.
