may 20th - kiawah (430)

The airport experience and flying was a bit odd after being out of the game for a while, but we made it down to Kiawah alive and well. Settled into our room at The Sanctuary and made it over to the PGA championship to watch a little golf. We were in a tent on the 17th green with lots of food and drinks to keep us occupied between the golfers walking past. Dinner at the Ocean Room was at our hotel so it gave us some time to walk around and check out the property. Not too shabby.  

may 19th - celebrating mommy (429)

Big dentist visit for all three of the kids today before Mommy and Daddy head out of town. Alex surprised Mommy with some new kayaks for her birthday…super pumped to bring them home for her. Gemma helped us get packed, Daddy made a mexican fiesta and kelly cake. Gemma finally got to give Mommy the necklace she got her a couple months ago. Two green boxes and lots of diamonds to kickoff the weekend of celebration. 

may 18th - bday prep (428)

The kids were hard at work today making Mommy birthday cards. Lucy was so excited about hers that she couldn’t wait to give it to Mommy. Big checkup for Alex today to make sure he is still human. His embarrassment is proof he is a growing boy.

may 17th - 40 begins (427)

Grandmom Burger came over today for a dry run of taking the kids to school so she knows the plan of attack while Mommy and Daddy are out of town. She brought a birthday cake for Mommy, so the celebration of 40 is officially underway. 

may 16th - the great wall (426)

Our wall is complete and cannot wait until the stone goes in to finish it off. Mommy and Alex got out on the kayaks today for a spin around the lake before we went back to Princeton. 

may 15th - progress report (425)

Back up to the lake to check out the work that has been do so far…painting the master bedroom and our landscaping are the big updates. Starting to see the yard come together, so we came up with our own path design down one side. We made the kids help us stack all the flat stones we could fine around the yard. Hit Wallenpaupack for a hike on the lakefront and some Grasham’s. 

may 14th - planting day (424)

Mommy and Beeps did their thing today, although slightly more abbreviated given we won’t be here during the summer. The yard still looked amazing after they spent the day working. This evening we went to Shady Brook for “unwined” with the Dreby clan. Lots of fun watching the kids run around together around the farm. 

may 13th - hitting coach (423)

Alex was teaching Lucy how to hit off the tee today and she caught on pretty quickly. She now likes to hit more than playing the field…Alex lost his ball shagger. Mommy was back up in NYC today…better her than us. Yikes!

may 12th - curb appeal (422)

Mommy was the catcher today in a three-way toss with Alex and Gemma. She quickly felt the rush of her old softball days coming back to her. Our yard is looking amaze-balls.
