february 7th - super bowl sunday (328)

More snow coming down all over the place and we had a little trouble getting out of our driveway.  We basically slid back down the driveway into a snow bank and Daddy had to get out, grab some tools from the shed, and dig for about 30-45 mins to get us unstuck.  Eventually, we were able to get up using the neighbors driveway, which was not as packed down.  The ride home half wet and snowed on was a real treat.  We got home in time to watch the Super Bowl back in Princeton and the kids were big winners.  Daddy entered them into a box pool and Gemma won the 1st quarter for $50.  Alex won the 3rd quarter and then no teams scored in the 4th quarter, so he took the end of game pot ($300 in total).  Not a bad night for them.  No one repaid Daddy for their entry fee.  Shocker.

february 6th - ski bunnies (327)

First time out and we were able to get a reservation at the neighborhood ski hill so we can ease the kids into being on giant sticks.  We got them going on the bunny hill for a while and then Lucy decided that she wanted to go on the ski lift (the magic carpet was not exciting enough).  They all did really well and we were very impressed with how much they were into it.  None of them wanted to leave, however, once Lucy's chocolate chip cookie fuel ran out we were able to drive them back to the house and come back.  Alex is a much more conservative/careful skier, while Gemma just points her skis downhill and goes like a bat out of hell until she crashes. So awesome that they love it!

february 5th - mountain or bust (326)

All strapped in for the ride up to the lake and getting the kids out on the ski hill for their very first time.  They are all very excited and we are just praying for slightly better weather than last time we were at Montage.  Picked up the obligatory happy meals on the way in and got a fire and hot chocolate going immediately upon arrival.

february 4th - snow bunnies (325)

Back to school today, but still crazy challenging to get around the neighborhood with snow piles everywhere and we have absolutely run out of room to stack it.  Mommy and Gemma both strapped up their boots for the morning excursion.

february 3rd - snow angels (324)

Time to really get out and see what this snow is all about.  The kids built out their own ramp down the back steps so they could get to sledding.

february 2nd - winter wonderland (323)

We got close to two-feet of snow in total during this storm and it was a lot of fun to take the kids out and see it this morning.  Lucy is home again and has graduated to eating her lunch on the couch.  Alex and Gemma were given a bit of a reprieve from school so that they could get outside and enjoy.

february 1st - snow day (322)

We have a Nor'Easter moving into the area and anticipating to dump a significant amount of snow on Princeton.  Schools now go remote as soon as they see a snowflake, and Lucy's school is closed.  Now we have the whole crew at home and trying to keep Lucy away from Alex and Gemma while they are doing schoolwork.  Sounds easy...executing, not so much.  Disney+ only goes so far into the day.  By the evening, we had a pretty good amount of snow, but the expectation is that it will pick up even more over night.  Yikes!

january 31st - bundled (321)

We had a little bit of snow today and Lucy was not playing around when she got dressed to go check it out.  Her objective was minimal skin exposure and she really hit her goal.

january 30th - what happened? (320)

Well, all the adults stayed up until the wee hours of the morning celebrating last night.  Somehow we were able to get up this morning after a couple hours sleep and get the kids breakfast.  Somehow, Mommy lost a sock.  Immediate naps when we got home and over to Beeps and Grandpa's house for dinner...and why not more cake?

january 29th - let's celebrate (319)

Mommy and Aunt Tracey have been planning a night to get Alex and Kyle together for a Sixers game since we cannot go to watch the game at the stadium.  Uncle Todd broke out the big projection screen and the stadium seats from The Vet for the two of them to get their game on.  It was also very timely because we got to celebrate Daddy's birthday with the whole crew.  Lucy discovered the horse that she figured out how to make gallop around the house.  And we all found out about how deep Lucy's love for cucumbers runs.  Apparently, she eats them at school all the time and we had no idea that she even liked them...she must have eaten a dozen.  Winning at parenting!
