october 4th - fairytale friday

An impromptu night with the Drebys when we didn’t have anything to do and they didn’t have anything to do....and we sure as hell weren’t finding babysitters for seven kids.

october 3 - mommy’s home...

...and we like it.

october 2nd - we eat out with daddy

Beautiful weather today so we walked into town to get out and stretch the legs. Gemma immediately regretted Mommy’s choice of pants for her today because she was “sweatin’ bullets.”  Alex got to pick dinner tonight so we ended up at Tacoria. Lucy ate all the guacamole and refused to share.

october 1st - dootie day

Nomad night with the kids and Lucy was very proud that she eats her pizza like Daddy. She had a bit of a going problem today in the rear region. Not pleased with how sensitive her butt was at the end of the day.

september 30th - end of q3

Mommy is dressed for success and off for another business trip, so Gemma and Lucy are pitching in around the house. Daddy and Gem spent lots of time making some cool bracelets for her friends that you bake in the oven. Alex and Gemma were off for the jewish holiday so Daddy played hooky and we went to the movies to see Dora the Explorer.

september 29th - celebrating beeps

Today, Gemma finally got her wish to go to the Peacock Inn for brunch to celebrate Beeps’ birthday. We all got dolled up and went over early so we could stroll around the neighborhood for some good shots of the kids in their Sunday’s best. Lucy was very proud of her pretty shoes and Gemma got blisters from hers....she now knows women’s pain for the sake of fashion. The kids finally got to give Beeps her birthday banner they have been working on all week. Very proud!

Alex is now a loyal fan of eggs benedict, Lucy drank out of fine crystal, and Gemma opted mostly for afternoon dessert...shocker.  Mostly relaxing brunch and a great experience for the birthday girl given the history of the Inn among Princetonians.

september 28th - parties everywhere

Busy day celebrating birthdays all around town after soccer this morning. Gemma had a girls birthday party and bowling for her new friend Liv from school. Tonight we were at the Drebys’ house celebrating Kyle’s birthday. Alex was in his glory playing sports the whole time. Lucy loved the obstacle course. We had to leave a little early because Gemma was not feeling well....so Alex and Mommy had to fill the “no cake” void with late night ice cream.

september 27th - school time

Gemma had share day today and she brought in a tree for the letter “T”...she is really loving school and her excitement to get there everyday is really awesome. Except when she looks at her wrist impatiently because we are making her late.

september 26th - me, me

Mommy is becoming a professional hair stylists since Gemma is requesting more and more complex braids. Lucy pulls up a chair right next to them, claiming that she is next. She always requests the same “twoooo pointies.”

september 25th - cafe time

Now that Gemma is in big kid school, Lucy is Daddy’s new morning coffee date. She really like Jammin’ Crepes because she knows right where the water is located and how to work the spout. Their scones aren’t too bad either...

september 24th - technology

Mommy and the kids were having some fun tonight playing on Snapchat and making Lucy a Princess. Also some creepy man pictures of Mommy with a beard that look just like Uncle Mike. Daddy risked his life to change some light bulbs and the kids started a special project.

september 23rd - where to?

Lucy is starting to outgrow her tricycle. This thing has now made it through three children and is on its last leg, but she still loves the hell out of cruising around town.

september 22nd - carnivore

One of Gemma’s top requests is for ribs on the grill. We have to argue with her to eat her chicken nuggets, but she licks the bones clean when we grill ribs.  Makes sense.

september 21st - we drink beer

A morning filled with soccer and an afternoon filled with beer. Mommy and Daddy went to the Newtown Beer Festival today with Uncle Todd and Aunt Tracey. Mommy drank more beer today than she has in her whole life. Lots of fun, lots of gas. The kids spent the night at Beeps and Grandpa’s. They introduced Grandpa to Jem and the Holograms.

september 20th - back to school picnic

Annual back-to-school picnic at Community Park was tonight. The kids had a great time...especially Gemma who was like a celebrity not that she goes to school there...her network is expanding.

september 19th - mommy’s home

Mommy got back today and everyone was excited. After school, we played in the yard for a while and then went to dinner at Tortuga’s for some Mexican.
