july 3rd - daddy mornings

Morning coffee with Daddy again and Lucy is a muffin monster. She just walks into the place, puts to the case, and smiles. Everyone in the coffee shop basically lets her do whatever she wants. Alex and Gemma are very good sharers and help to keep an eye on their little sister. Nomad night to ight. The owner was there and Gemma made a special request. The Big Dipper was in the house.

july 2nd - daddy day camp

The girls still repping the USA and Lucy has a new found appreciation for our country’s flag. Daddy took everyone out for coffee and snacks this morning before dropping the girls at school. Alex’s second day at daddy day camp consisted of a marathon chess match in the square, tossing the football, and lunch.

july 1st - how is it july?

Holiday week and the girls have enough patriotic gear to celebrate all week long. Daddy has off this week to hang out with Alex, since he is in camp limbo. Day one was mostly recovery from late nights at the lake, but we did make it out for a catch in Palmer’s Square and lunch at Teresa’s.

june 30th - last of the lake

Last afternoon at the lake was a bit breezy, but did not impact the kids who were still pumped to get in the water and go out on the boat. Even Lucy decided she was jumping in the lake today before the weekend was over. We headed home around 3pm and sat in more traffic around the Poconos, but we were home in time for cereal for dinner.

june 29th - the great outdoors

Another beautiful day on the lake after Mommy and Daddy cooked breakfast for the whole crew. Gemma and Addy continue getting some sweet hairstyles from Ella and Mommy even got her hair braided today. Alex’s fishing skills are advancing and he was imparting his knowledge on Gemma and Mommy so they could join the fun. Today, he was baiting his own hook and taking the fish off the line on his own to release back into the wild.  Alex even got to drive the boat today, which he did with a self-contained sense of pride.

We had some fireworks at our bonfire tonight that we bought from some hillbillies up the road. Gemma got to shoot some roman candles this year:). Dance party and glow sticks were in full effect at Alex had some sweet moves. By the end of the night, Alex passed out sitting up and mid-conversation. Lucy is so cute that no one would put her down very long.

june 28th - lake weekend

Alex’s week of 76ers camp came to a close today with a performance of all the skills that they learned over the week. We got to go and watch the whole squad run drills and it was AWESOME. Shy as usual, but we could see his contained personal pride. All the kids got to shoot from the foul line...Alex took his shot from downtown.

After camp, we finished packing up the car and picked up the girls on our way out of town for Page Lake weekend. Traffic was a bit of a bummer, but worth it once we arrived and got the kids out on the lake. Alex was loving the boat rides and he is now an avid fisherman who logged the biggest fish of the weekend. Gemma and Addison were inseparable all weekend and even slept over in the main house both nights. Lucy got sick of her life vest real fast and decided she was just there for the food.

june 27th - three in a row

The week of Alex continues with lunch at the grill AGAIN. This time with Daddy, Kyle, and Uncle Todd for some guy time. Princeton’s farmers’ market was hoppin’ in Hinds Plaza and we had a great outdoor table to be in the action. After lunch (and ice cream), Alex ran some errands with Daddy. He was a great helper, but was a little concerned with the accuracy of the solar system display at Wegmans. Went for a run/bikeride with Daddy around town for four miles to take it up a notch. GemGem had super hero day at her school and rocked the mask like no other.

june 26th - good fortune

Alex thought yesterday was special, but today was even better!  He got dropped off by Daddy and the girls, and Mommy picked him up after camp for a special lunchdate at the grill. He got a milkshake at Halo and just when the day couldn’t get better, a package from Daddy arrived with some new sneakers.

june 25th - ballin’

This big guy got his pipes out in his new Sixers camp uni for another great day playing some ball. Daddy had a meeting this afternoon, so he got to go home with Kyle. The two of them got home from camp, went immediately to play more basketball, ate lunch standing up, and then took batting practice for two hours. His ideal day. Uncle Todd said the camp director told him they have to split Alex and Kyle up tomorrow because they are dominating the other kids.

june 24th - big girl

Lucy got moved up to her big girl seat in Mommy’s car this morning and she is quite proud of herself. So funny to see how little she is sitting in a big chair. Every time we look back at her, she just smiles. Alex started 76ers basketball camp today at PDS and Kyle Dreby is hoing to the same camp. They were both pumped for this morning’s shoot-around.
