june 8th - milestones

Alex had his last game of the season today and he (we) are proud. He really grew up during this baseball season and is quite a little athlete. Daddy loves being able to go out and have a real catch with him in the yard. His coach and team this year were great and we hope they figure out a way to stay together next year.

Mommy and Daddy went out to celebrate Aunt Tracey’s 40th birthday tonight. Time in Newtown followed by a party bus down to Philly...followed by vomit and an early departure. Turning 40 must be a reminder we are not as young as we used to be...at least Aunt Tracey isn’t:)

june 7th - our little reader

Mommy and Daddy went to Alex’s reading celebration/performance today at school. They had a series of skits and songs mixed in that were very funny. Alex’s skit was called “my doggy ate my homework.”  Of course, he memorized his whole part so he didn’t have to hold the script. We also finally got to see the “who let the dogs out” dance. Alex and Makani try to hide in the back so we couldn’t see them dance, but we got a few peaks. His teacher gave him the whole performance in handouts and he read them to us all day long. We welcomed Mommy back with a relaxing night by the fire and Daddy ordered an amazing sunset. Alex sat and talked to us all night after the girls went to bed. It was a proud parent day.

june 6th - we miss mommy

Lucy had a moment of not wanting to go to school today...or she was just upset with the Phillies performance last night. One more day until Mommy comes home. Pizza night at Nomad and Lucy put down some food. She must have eaten four slices of pizza, ice cream, and a chocolate. Somehow she was still not satisfied, and she let us know it with her best frowny face.

june 5th - relief cooker

Beeps and Grandpa brought over dinner tonight so Daddy didn’t have to cook. Gemma was glad it was not coming in a crockpot. Homemade gnocchi and chocolate ice creams bars were a hit, u til they began expanding:)

june 4th - big girl

Lucy rockin’ her outfit this morning at school and talking to Mommy on Facetime was hilarious. She is very independent and will hopefully be driving herself to school soon.

june 3rd - 80% strength

Mommy is out of town all week in Chicago and we are all hoping to survive. Gemma said she was not sleeping until Mommy returns....her ten minutes later...

june 2nd - first pool day

The weather is awesome so we took a stroll into town to get breakfast pastries at Terra Momo and found a nice wildflower field on the university campus to have a picnic. Chocolate croissants and Tico’s smoothies was just what the doctor ordered. We finally made it to CP for our first pool day of the summer. The water was freezing, but Lucy did NOT care one bit. She and Mommy went home for naps and the big kids got to have there first strawberry shortcake popsicles...daddy’s favorite.

june 1st - saturday fun

Divide and conquer day when Daddy took Alex to baseball and Gemma went with Mommy shopping. Gem had to have her picture taken by the letters at the quakerbridge mall. “First I will sit in the B...now the Q...now both at the same time.”  We spent the rest of the day in Haddonfield at an Angelucci picnic. The kids had a great time and Lucy showed us her unorthodox popsicle eating technique. She almost lost a pinky to frostbite.

may 31st - praise jesus, it’s friday

It’s finally friday. Daddy and Alex got a head start down to Philly for Carson Wentz’s charity softball game. We had dinner at Xfinity Live and was really cool to see the Eagles play some softball at Citizens Bank. After the game, Alex wanted to stick around for fireworks and they were pretty awesome from our seats behind home plate. The girls went to Beeps and Grandpa’s for some fun and dinner.

may 30th - only thursday

Officially the longest short week in history. For some reason, four days of work/school are hitting us hard. Lucy’s feeling on the situation.....we hot Nomad tonight to see if wine and pizza could change our outlook.

may 29th - we have jelly...

...and an organized kitchen. Mommy jarred most of her jelly today while Lucy did a bit of spring cleaning. Watching her take everything out and decide where it goes is so amazing. It’s as if you can see her think based on her facial expressions.

may 28th - 🐇 tuesday supper 🐇

Mommy took Alex and Gemma to swim lessons tonight while Daddy whipped up an awesome rabbit ragu, with an audience. Lucy pulled her chair into the kitchen so she could hang out during meal preparation with a front row seat.

may 27th - ‘merica

Memorial Day celebration with lots of food, cousins, and outdoor playtime. Lucy got all dressed up for the occasion and was very proud of her dress. She even twirled when she showed it to Daddy this morning.

may 26th - best helpers

Daddy woke up early for a trip to the hardware store for materials to rebuild Mommy’s veggie garden. A very special helper decided to tag along...with an even more special outfit, which she picked out all by herself. She looked so awesome, we decided to grab breakfast at Lilipies and expose the world to her keen fashion sense.

Lucy helped Mommy get started on her strawberry jelly production and scooted to the store to pick up a dozen pounds of sugar in her car.
