april 22nd - postgame analysis
Baseball Mondays calls for a little Thomas’ treat on the way home. This is Alex’s best pose to capture the amazing sunset behind him. Yup, going to school with a bunch of freaks has tainted him!
april 21st - 🥕 🥕 🐰 🐰 🥕 🥕
The Easter Bunny came to town and the kids were excited to wake up and follow their trails. Lucy’s first year of being able to follow hers left her with a little anxiety...she got out the broom and dust pan to clean up. The bunny killed it on all the cool new toys, science kits, clothes, and all out effort. Gemma was like a little diva with her clothing reactions. On to our house for Easter brunch with most of Uncle Boogs’ crew. Many champagnes and beers around the fire pit capped off a great weekend. Too bad Princeton has school tomorrow:(
april 20th - stranger danger day
Top 5 eating and drinking days of the year and the kids were pumped. Mommy and Lucy got into their best bunny costumes and we headed to Beeps and Grandpa’s for Easter Eve. Gemma did an amazing job of serving everyone appetizers and we were right on our way to prime rib...when Lucy smashed her face into a wooden chair and cut open her eyelid. It was the perfect combination of booze vision, over reaction, blood, and bodily location that landed us in the Princeton ER. After 3 hours of our lives that we will never get back and an all-clear from a medical professional, we finally sat down for dinner at 10:15pm. The lateness of the hour did not stop our over-indulging...not sure if it was the latenight beef or the banana cream pie that drove universal gas, but it tasted amazing going down. If the Easter Bunny gets lost, she should have no problem sniffing out or location.
april 19th - only child friday
It’s good friday and Alex is taking advantage of being off from school. He and Daddy went for haircuts, but it was packed...chocolate croissants from Terra Momo instead. He also got to come with Mommy to sign our will documents...he thinks he’s getting a larger share. We had some lunch at Brick Farm Market with some more chocolate to wash it down. Daddy got all the bikes tuned up for springtime and Gemma is VERY excited.
april 18th - kissy face
Lucy’s latest thing for nighttime kisses is a duckface. She loves walking around to all of is and saying goodnight, and now we get a duckface kiss. She got to help Mommy make some cupcakes tonight and has become a pretty good taste tester.
april 17th - our big girl
Gemma had kindergarten orientation today at CP and she made Daddy very proud. Her friend Emma, who she goes to school with is also starting kindergarten and she was a little less excited. When Emma started to get upset leaving her Mommy, Gemma held her hand and walked her back to the gym for orientation. Gemma was so excited to see Ms. Sampson and even more excited to go to lunch with Daddy for tacos and some Bent Spoon.
april 16th - perplexed
Lucy’s feelings were hurt today when the baby in the mirror did not want to hold her hand (or her feet). She stood there for a while trying to figure out what was happening. Mommy was in New York today, so Daddy had to take Alex and Gemma to swim lessons. Mommy never provided an address, so Alex gave directions to the pool in Kingston. Impressed. Grandmom Burger was in town and got to come to swim, with a layover at Nomad on the way home.
april 15th - belly bites
Lucy was blowing raspberries on Mommy’s belly today and giving her lots of love. She thought it was really funny to slobber all over.
april 14th - princeton
We put the kids in some real clothes this morning and took a stroll through the university campus. Lots of tigers and lots of smiles watching the five of them run around. Beautiful day and amazing scenery around Princeton in the springtime.
april 13th - early easter fun
Cousins are in town, ears are on, and a million eggs are hidden in Beeps and Grandpa’s backyard. All the kids did a great job finding eggs and helping the younger one with finding their fair share. The adults got into the champagne early...you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning. Naps and play time at 277 ahead of Beeps bringing over our lamb feast. Adults got to enjoy an amazing meal while the kids finally got settled into a movie for the night.
