Rough week of work equals a night out without having to cook. Daddy met the whole family in town on his way home from work and we were even heavy one additional kid. Alex ran into Makani while walking through town and he came along for a stop at the library and dinner at Yankee Doodle Taproom. Lots of fun seeing the kids play and run around.
After dinner there was a lifesize chessboard set up in Palmer Square. Alex challenged a guy to play and kicked his butt. After his beating the guy shook Alex’s hand and asked him how old he was...“6,” Alex says. Then the guy says, “I’m 29 years old and play chess a lot.” He was from New York and in the medical field. Proud moment for mommy and daddy. Alex got ice cream to celebrate his victory.
