Mommy made us a special breakfast this morning to celebrate father’s day at home with the kids. Alex and Gemma gave Daddy some really funny cards and puzzles that are pictures of the family that we are all really excited to build. Lucy had a little avocado mishap during breakfast and she was a bit concerned that we were all laughing at her. We spent the whole day at the pool, relaxing and having a picnic lunch. Gemma had some impressive footwork holding her ice cream like a monkey.
june 16th - 💩
The kids woke up to a full spread for breakfast that they got to eat with morning cartoons. Beeps spoils them! We went home a tad bit hungover and went straight to work in the yard. Daddy was a weeding champion. The kids hung out in the yard and kept themselves busy. Once we couldn’t take the heat anymore we went for our first trip of the season to the CP pool. Also ended up being our first evacuation. Someone let out a squeaker turd in the shallow end, causing everyone to head for the hills. Ga-ross.
june 15th - ir-responsibility
Alex presented his whole year’s worth of projects to Mommy and Daddy today. It was really cool to see how much he has learned and grown over the last year. Lucy came too which made him a proud big brother. This evening, we dropped the kids off at Beeps and Grandpa’s so Mommy and Daddy could have a night out. We took an Uber to New Hope to meet up with Todd and Tracey. Enough said.
june 14th - social media wins
Grandmom Burger came over for a visit and to watch Lucy while Mommy got her nails did. While she was kicking back and relaxing, Mommy found out Nomad has their seasonal strawberry shortcake on the menu. Guess where we went to dinner? Alex rocked his sixers jersey (sleeveless to show his tats like JJ Reddick). Gemma protested because she wanted a cannoli, but the shortcake received her stamp of approval. Lucy drooled.
june 13th - osha approved
Alex had silly sock day today and Daddy got him some poop emojis to wear. Lucy and Mommy met Daddy for lunch which was a nice afternoon treat. All smiles.
june 11th - future so bright 🕶
Gemma finished her craft, which was a “make your own horse” and she galloped it all the way around town. Mommy bought the kids their own chairs for the patio and they were a big hit.
june 10th - a cultured sunday
What a day. Alex was invited to his buddy, Karkom’s birthday and Daddy took him over this morning. Alex always makes the shortlist to all the parties which is pretty cool. He and his buddies got to lift Karkom up in the air seven times because it is a tradition in Israel.
In the afternoon, Alex and Gemma went to Farrah’s birthday party at an art studio. They got to paint their own horse pictures and eat lots of cupcakes. Daddy and Lucy stayed home and braised a rabbit. We made an awesome ragu for dinner and we all got into the italian spirit. Dance PARTY!!!!!

june 9th - family hike 💩
Who knew we had an amazing nature preserve in our own backyard? Apparently it has been there for a while. We went on a hike around Mountain Lakes and had a great time....mostly. It was Mommy’s idea and after only three minutes in, she stepped in a huge pile of crap. Alex and Gemma picked flowers, we had snack with a lake view, we learned a bit of history, and we took the rugged trail home that required lifting a stroller over a running stream.
Alex had his last game and his end of year baseball celebration. Rough season of rain every weekend, but he did get to play a bunch. He’d rather be playing wiffle ball anyway!
june 8th - poetry gala
The whole family went to Alex’s school this morning for his poetry gala. We got to see his year of work exhibited all around the room. It was also spirit day, where you could wear your CP t-shirt or dress as twins with a friend. Alex, Makani, and Carmelo went as triplets. Can’t even tell which one is Alex. He was very proud of his work and Gemma was very eager to get her hands on books in his classroom. One more year and she will be with Miss Sampson. Lucy found out they weren’t serving sweet potatoes and passed out.
Mommy and Beeps constructed a fairy garden for Gemma to play in the backyard. She was SOOO excited. She won’t let Alex play, so he shot baskets...or tried to shoot baskets over Lucy’s tenacious defense.
june 7th - philly girls
Lucy and Mommy were sporting their city of brotherly love gear for their day around town. Apparently, Lucy lost the pants at some point. She is now on sweet potatoes and loves every bite.
june 6th - humpday
Gemma has a new box of goodies that she totes around the yard now. She packs it up and Alex is only allowed to play with items inside if he gets her permission:). We had a nice al fresco dinner at Nomad tonight because their heirloom tomato salad is back on the menu. We told Gemma they ran out of cannolis and she was less than thrilled...
june 5th - 🤚 months
Lucy is officially five months old and looking sharp. She had a great day with Mommy walking around town and swinging at the park. Daddy took Alex and Gemma to a Trenton Thunder game tonight with the Schaefers. Gemma dressed herself...in fur...for a baseball game...in Trenton. She had a great time with Addison and Alex had fun with Brayden. They were both asleep before we left the parking lot. However, Gemma did wake up to collect on the ice cream promise.
june 4th - finger lickin’ chicken
Back to the grind and Lucy was up at the butt crack of dawn. Required much coffee to get through the day but it was all worth it when we got home. Mommy was busy prepping some beer can chicken and making strawberry shortcake. She didn’t cook anything but prepared. Still impressed.
june 3rd - 🚲 🏃 🍳 🍓 🍔
Our little buddy ran his first one-miler today. He and Daddy rode bikes three miles to the starting line, ran a mile (he did it in 9:30), and then rode three miles back to town to meet the girls for breakfast. He was awesome. So proud of him. He was so proud to get back and show Mommy and Gemma his medal.
We had a great breakfast at Cafe Vienna...our new favorite spot. Since it is alumni weekend in Princeton, Gemma and Lucy got into the spirit. In the afternoon, we went strawberry picking and, as usual, Gemma ate more than she picked. Uncle Frank and Aunt Amy met us so we went out for lunch when we left the farm. Alex challenged Savannah to a hamburger eating contest. He exercised today so he could endulge.
june 2nd - saturdays are the best
Alex ended up in our bed last night and did some serious snuggling with daddy. We had breakfast at a new greek restaurant that recently opened in town. Gemma and Alex were fans of the donuts but not the yogurt. We went to Alex’s teeball game...he finally had some sunshine to play. Gemma won fan of the year. Uncle Frank and Aunt Amy came over for adult night. Explains a lot.
june 1st - how is it june already?
It is June and we got to enjoy the june’ish weather. Gramps and Grandmum hung out with Lucy while Mommy got her nails done and we all struggled a bit to get up this morning. We had some afternoon cocktails with Beeps and dinner outside on the patio. Only had to dodge the basketball whizzing past our heads every five minutes tonight.
