november 30th - william stone

Baby William has arrived as Earth's newest Rhode Island resident. Big brother Ben seems to be pleased and not quite ready to send him back yet...all in good time.

november 29th - mommy cuddles

november 28th - at long last

Our fireplace box was finally installed today and it is looking pretty rad. Still not finished and operable but baby steps are acceptable at this point.

november 27th - finishing the weekend strong

Breakfast at PJ's pancake house, as if we needed more food. Gemma had a killer hair day.

november 26th - weekend fun

Mommy was out with the girls today so daddy, alex and gemma went on an adventure in seek of grilled cheese. Gemma put on a grilled cheese eating clinic. Alex was perplexed at her performance. The temperature dropped by 10 degrees on the walk home, so Daddy had to give up his jacket to Alex. He was a champ. Walked over 2 miles.

Spent this evening celebratin Sienna Dreby's 1st birthday. Kids had a blast. Gemma was having fun playing dress up.

november 25th - princeton tree lighting

The annual tree lighting in Palmer's Square for our second year as Princeton residents. This year was a little better to have a house to walk back to instead of a construction site. The smiles on the kids' faces when santa came AND when the tree lit up were amazing. Everyone is super pumped about the start of the hokiday season. Gemma even made it on the front page of Princeton's paper, Town Topics!  The little girl with the polka dot jacket...daddy's hands also had a cameo.

november 24th - gobble gobble gobble

Gemma had a super thanksgiving....Alex just showed up for the dessert. Spent the morning watching the parade in nee york city and made it to uncle frank's by noon for cocktails. Had a blast hanging with all of the cousins and getting our appetizer fix.

Beeps and Grandpa's house for a quiet dinner for six. Lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of love. Gemma was in rare form talking everyone's ear off about who knows what...Alex, more dessert.

november 23rd - let's eat pie

Thanksgiving Eve and we do not have any prep to do...hell, we do not even have refrigeration. We did not let it hold us down and Mommy whipped us up a pumpkin pie, which we basically ate for dinner. The kids were pleased, to say the least.

november 22nd - accomplishments both big and small

Gemma made Alex a native american headdress at school today, in the spirit of thanksgiving. She was very proud to give it to him when daddy picked them up at school. When they came home, they "did work" in mommy's office.

Mommy got a nice bouquet of flowers from the CMO at Accenture, congratulating her on her promotion and amazing achievement.

november 21st - mommy sandwich

november 20th - philly day

We went to Philly today to go to the zoo with Jackie, Fred, and Emily. Gemma was pumped to see the baby gorilla. Unfortunately, the marathon was happening and we could not get any closer than a mile out. We attempted walking, but it was freezing and we changed our minds pretty quickly. Gemma was disturbed that Daddy spilled his coffee, but "all the blue guys will pick it up."

We ended up at The Academy of Natural Sciences (aka the dinosaur museum). Lots of fun followed by a good lunch in the city.

november 19th - sunshine

The weather today was fantastic so we spent lots of time outside. Had lunch outdoors at our new favorite place...Princeton Soup & Sandwich Company. The kids couldn't stop talking about the bird that flew inside last time we were there.

november 18th - mommy is a star

The kids got some new kicks today at Alex's request. They love getting new shoes and HAVE to road test them before deciding.

Daddy took Mommy out to celebrate her big promotion. In a company of almost 400,000 employees in 55 countries...thousands of marketers and only 3 getting promoted to Managing Director each year. We are very proud of Mommy and her amazing achievement!!!!!

november 17th - undies

november 16th - buds

november 15th - sick day

Alex had another vomit-filled morning. He stayed home from school and did activities in mommy's office once he started feeling better.

november 14th - daddy's new office

BMS opened the new office today so Daddy made the trip to the new Princeton Pike building for Day 1. Turkey leftovers for dinner...amazing!

november 13th - gemma's world

november 12th - the holidays begin

Our annual friend thanksgiving celebration was scaled back significantly this year. Just the Dreby clan came over for turkey, waffles, wine, and good times. It was relaxing and awesome!!!  Gemma helped prepare while Alex and Daddy raked leaves in the yard. All the kids had a blast. Sienna retired early, Gemma and Lila were in bed together by 10pm talking up a storm, and Alex and Kyle watched TV on the couch until 11:30.  The adults drank booze and pondered the end of the world.

november 11th - europa pizza alumni night

We took Alex and Gemma to Europa with all of our friends for a walk down memory lane. Daddy and all the other daddies used to work at Europa back in the day. It was an awesome time seeing the Amari family and talking about old times. Alex and Gemma loved the pizza...Gemma loved the cannoli even more!!!  Can't wait to do it again.

november 10th - off the grid

The kids book fair could not have come at a better time. We have increased our collection and trying to read instead of watching the world argue over the most ridiculous election in our nation's history. Two days later and already considering a transcontinental move.

november 9th - WTF just happened?

Somehow, after insulting just over 90% of the population Donald Trump was elected president. Alex was so distraught that he stayed home from school vomiting all day...a reaction shared by the majority of people in America. Un-f'ing-believeable. Can't wait to watch an orangutan in a suit attempt to lead our country to its impending doom for the next four years. God help us.

november 8th - last day of mankind?

november 7th - school days

november 6th - family yard work

Super fun morning outside watching the kids play in the yard. Alex was awesome and helped Mommy rake the entire yard full of leaves. Gemma and Daddy just played and offered moral support. The Angelucci's came over for a birthday sunday supper to celebrate big drew's birthday.

november 5th - birthdays everywhere

Kids loved the birthday party on the farm today for Charlotte. We got a hay ride to pick popping corn and were able to feed some goats.

Mommy and Daddy went to Uncle Ryan's 40th birthday celebration tonight to rock and roll adult style. Alex and Gemma had a fun night at their old house with Beeps and Grandpa. Popcorn and Monsters Inc, Gemma almost peed her pants due to excitement.

november 4th - cartoon love

These two haven't changed a bit...they just talk more now.

november 3rd - school mugshots

School pictures are in and it is official...Gemma is definitely Daddy's daughter.

november 2nd - park time

Somehow it is 75 degrees again so we went straight to the park after school. The kids loved playing on the jungle gym at the Y in town. Afterward, Alex said he wants to go out to dinner in town. Got some beer and grilled cheese at A&B. Lots of fun. GemGem almost fell asleep at the table.

november 1st - daddy days

Mommy is out of town all week for work so it is time to party. Lots of fun at breakfast and pizza at Nomad.

october 31st - halloween in princeton

The kids were so excited to go trick or treating that they put their costumes on two hours ahead of time. Superman and Sky were shy at first, but after three houses they were professional candy collectors. The halloween vibe in the neighborhood was awesome and walking Jefferson Street was like something out of a catalogue. Every house was all out...some with music, some with smoke machines, some with fire pits. Some of the houses were giving out 64oz bags of M&M's...insane.

october 30th - fall

Alex and Daddy resumed our sunday man ritual with coffee and the hardware store. Found a giant purple monkey that Alex was fond of and wanted a picture. We spent the morning walking the neighborhood to find leave piles to jump into and all the brothers/cousins came over for Sunday supper at our house.  First large scale dinner party was successful.
