march 14th - those pants

We spent the day at Beeps and Grandpa's house for a little St. Patty's weekend dinner and drinks. Gemma wore her best pair of green pants and went for the booze like a true irishman...woman.  Pizzelles didn't stand a chance once she found them in the pantry.

march 13th - sleeping beauty

Alex took a nice restful nap today with his buddy, Red the firetruck.  He just got the truck from the Disney store and refuses to put it down.

march 12th - gelato for one

We went for a dinner out at Stella tonight and the kiddos loved their pizza.  Alex picked his up and folded it like daddy...big boy.  He got a large helping of gelato, which he did not share.  He gave the biscotti on top to Gemma, but the ice cream was all his...

march 11th - cookie monsters

Alex has been saving his money so that he can go to the store and buy a truck with his own money.  He has been putting all of his bucks in his dump truck piggy bank and every night he counts it to see how much he is saving.

march 10th - spring is on its way

The kids got out for a visit to the park on a really nice day.  The snow is finally melting and the sun has been out long enough for them to get time in on the playground.  Lucy and Remy went to hang out...Alex is in his glory.

march 9th - missing mommy

Alex wanted to send Mommy a picture this morning because he says he misses her...super, super lots.  He even smiled....

march 8th - gemma sees the world differently

Alex and Gemma are very good about brushing their teeth in the morning and are both independent brushers.  They think it is hilarious.  We took the kids to the store today to get Gemma a new car seat...she now faces forward and will soon be driving the car on her own.

Mommy is heading out of town tonight to visit her friend Jerry in Austin, so the kids got in some quality time bouncing off her face.

march 7th - busy saturday

The kids spent the morning cuddling and watching cartoons while Mommy went to get her nails done.  Then she was off to Jackie's baby shower, so a trip to Anthony's for coffee and sweets with Daddy was in order.  Gemma was not feeling well and Daddy drew the short straw, which meant taking Alex to a one-year-old birthday party at the Nest.  Alex sat at the table with all the ladies (Lucy was there) and was "super, super happy" about the balloon he got to take home.

march 6th - beeps = cookies

Gemma woke up this morning with the worst crust of boogers in history.  She was all smiles, even though she could barely breath.  Mommy and Daddy saw Beeps today, so there was a transfer of chocolate chip cookies that Alex and Gemma got to take advantage of....poor job of hiding the evidence.

march 5th - storm of the year

We had our biggest snow storm of the season last night, and the kids were fired up to get outside to play.  Unfortunately, it was really cold and Gemma is all snotted up, so they had to stare out the window admiring the view.  Alex did get outside with Mommy for a bit to walk around the neighborhood.  Alex knocked on our neighbor's door all by himself to get Rufus out to play.

march 4th - last day at novartis

Daddy resigned from Novartis today...long career.  Gemma displayed a killer hairstyle to reflect the craziness of working at three companies in 10 days.  Monday starts a completely new adventure filled with traffic reports, exhaust fumes, and caffeine addiction.

march 3rd - first day at novartis

Daddy started the first day at Novartis out in King of Prussia, which consisted of little to no actual work and a lot of snuggle time at home on the couch with Gemma.  Getting paid for relaxing and watching cartoons is magical.

march 2nd - independent woman

Gemma is now insisting on eating by herself with a fork.  Eating with her hands is old news and she is now clean and sophisticated.  She has not mastered getting the food on the fork by herself yet, but screams loudly enough for immediate assistance.

march 1st - ashlyn finds jesus

We went to Jersey for cousin Ashlyn's Baptism this afternoon.  Daddy was the godfather, although not "officially" recognized by the money hungry catholics.  All the kids were really good(ish) during the ceremony.  Gemma wandered around looking for snacks...Alex and Farrah were very good at sharing.  Gemma got to put her hands in the holy water and thought it was hilarious.

february 28th - mmm...cookies!

A night at the Angelucci's for pizza and playtime required a special trip to Isgro's for some Italian pastries and cookies to bring for dessert.  Our two cookie monsters, Alex and Gemma, didn't wait very long after we got outside the start shoving them in...Mommy doesn't set a good example.

february 27th - mommy's back

Mommy came home from her trip to a pile up of children.  The kids got new swim vests for the summer time, so of course they had to put them on and wear them around the house.  Gemma loves hers and refuses to take it off.

Today was Daddy's last official day as a GSK employee...13 years have flown by...the Burger family is hitting the next new adventure head on!

february 26th - cyber mommy

Mommy is out of town for a work training in Chicago, so we are spending morning discussions over FaceTime.  Gemma gets so excited when we take the phone in her room in the morning...she stands up and bounces up and down.  Gemma HAS to hold the phone all by herself.

february 25th - clean bill of health

Alex is officially feeling better...

february 24th - happy birthday cj

The kids got dressed for success today for an outing with Jackie.  Doctor Gemma gave Alex a checkup to make sure he was ready to be released back into the wild.

Our first child, CJ would have been celebrating her 15th birthday today.  May have been rough on an elderly CJ to provide Gemma rides around the house...probably happy she is in a better place :(

february 23rd - looking fabulous

Gemma's outfits are getting more and more adorable...especially now that she is walking around like a tiny little human.  Loves her glasses and could not get enough of watching Rufus playing in the snow.  We got hit with a pretty good storm last night, so we spent the day in the house...nursing Alex back to health.

february 22nd - leaving the house is tough

Gemma loves climbing up o the windowsill and taking in the action outside on our street.  She loves saying goodbye to Daddy when he walks out of the house.  So cute...makes it hard to leave.  Especially when she does her newly learned little wave and blows kisses.

february 21st - franklin institute with beeps

Beeps came down this morning to visit the kids and Alex wanted to take her to the Franklin Institute. We hung out in the trains, the planes, and then Isaac Newton's Corner.  By the time we made it to "the brain," Alex had to hit the head to vomit.  He was not feeling well and could not hold it in anymore...and spent the next 24 hours throwing up everything he tried to put into his body...poor buddy.
